In March 2000, two new programs in Burnaby were established based on the Graham House design. Bodie House and Dunbar House are fully furnished two-bedroom half duplexes adjacent to one another. Each program offers the residents their own private bedroom while sharing a central living space, kitchen and bathroom. Bodie House is fully wheelchair accessible. These programs are similar to the Graham and Lloyd House programs whereas the clients are living semi-independently on a long- term basis. Each client has his or her own individual service plan based upon the client and therapeutic goals and a weekly schedule. The individual service plans focus on developing skills in each clients area of need, such as: managing activities of daily living
personal organization
time management
leisure planning
medical, fitness and physical management
memory development and improvement through the use of compensatory strategies
emotional control and effective communication skills
developing and maintaining personal relationships
orientation in the community, including bus training and handydart
