SLOWER STREAM PROGRAMS
![]() Our slower stream programs include beds at Lloyd House, Graham House and Larkin House.
Slower stream programs offer residents an enriching, safe, and supportive environment in order to assist in meeting
their physical, social, psychological, spiritual and emotional needs. The homes shift the emphasis from a purely
rehabilitation focus to addressing quality of life issues - "learning to live and enjoy life again". Through individual
goal planning each resident is encouraged to explore his or her potential. Family and friends of each resident form
an integral part of the lives of theresidents in these homes.
![]() Residents are frequently involved in volunteer work, classes in the community, both academic and recreational,
therapy as required, exercise programs, as well as participating in the general running of the house such as grocery
shopping, cleaning, and meal preparation. Group activities are also recognized as important opportunities for growth
and include camping trips, day trips to different locations around the Lower Mainland and recreational activities such
as disabled skiing and sailing.
