Costs

The rate for each resident at Larkin House is approximately $425.00 per day. This rate includes the following fees for services and out of pocket expenses:

· Pre-admission assessment.

· 24 hour monitoring and supervision

· In house assistance by a rehabilitation support worker

· Individual Service Plan development (behavioural, goal plan and physical care plan)

· Medication management

· Weekly schedule for each resident.

· Telephone calls (within B.C.) and cable available in each room (not every room is equipped with a television).

· Initial off site pre- admission assessment (except when outside Lower Mainland)

· Food and tube feed nutrition

· Cost of team meetings, reports (report presented at each team meeting) and any associated transportation costs.

· The costs associated with staff driving clients to medical appointments

· Fees for daily activities

· Public transportation, handydart etc.

· Rehabilitation supplies such as a day timer, calendar etc.

- Note: Where an individual is on P.W.D. Benefits we will deduct the user fee amount (currently $29.30./day) from our per diem rate and bill MESDES accordingly.

Note: The fee payer and/or family will be expected to cover the following: private telephone lines, long distance phone calls and other phone services, personal clothing and toiletry items, medications, specialized medical supplies such as wheelchairs, tilt tables etc. or large equipment, additional therapists above what is currently offered and other personal items.
