Satellite apartments are set up on an individual basis. We use the following as a guideline:

Satellite Apartment - Option A
Flat Rate: $1,825.00/month
Includes 4 hours/week of rehabilitation assistance (in apartment)

Satellite Apartment - Option B
Flat Rate: $2,570.00/month
Includes 8 hours/week of rehabilitation assistance (in apartment)

Satellite Apartment - Option C
Flat Rate: $3,315.00/month
Includes 12 hours/week of rehabilitation assistance (in apartment)

Included with Option A, B, C are the following:
- 24-hour on call and emergency support
- Individual service plan – goals, behaviour plan and physical care plan
- Any reports, team meeting and associated transportation costs.
- Administration fees
- Initial off site interviews and meetings

Note: Furnishings may be available if necessary.

ADDITIONAL PROGRAM COSTS
The following costs are not covered within the satellite apartment programs:

- Each resident is responsible to contribute the equivalent of the shelter allowance of the PWD benefits to Cheshire Homes Society ($325./month).
- Telephone line (local and long distance phone calls initiated by resident, or other phone services such as “chat lines”)
- Personal clothing
- Medications
- Transportation costs such as bus pass, handydart & taxi rides
- Personal toiletry items
- Furnishings
- Heat & hydro costs (including set up)
- Food
- Personal resident expenses
- Rehabilitation aides
- Mileage for the staff to travel to the apartment or to transport the client at $0.46 per kilometer
